Don’t let the bright green hue throw you off. This bold cocktail from Bobby Heugel, talented bartender and owner of Refuge in Texas, is the perfect green drink for mixologists celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. A delightful combination of sweet, tart, and bitter, this drink highlights the fruity, slightly earthy flavor of Midori which blends beautifully with tequila and the bitter citrus notes of Suze.

Ingredients: (Serves 1)

  • 1½ oz Blanco tequila
  • 1 oz Midori
  • ¾ oz Suze
  • Green maraschino cherry for garnish

DIRECTIONS:

Add tequila, Midori, and Suze to a mixing glass filled with ice and stir to combine and chill.

Strain into a chilled Nick and Nora glass and garnish with a green maraschino cherry.
